  1. I am waching this video a year after it was uploaded. And guess what, no one cares anymore about the plastic in the sea, about the amazon rainforest and all of that stuff. Everyone only cares about klimate change. I belive that it as a problem as much as the next person but i dont beive in what people are doing to change that, because the big companies that can at least do 1% of change take this as a advantage. This may be an unpopular opinion but i dont see klimate change as that big of a problem compared to the enviormental problem that is just before our eyes and the people that has the power to acculy make somewhat of a change is trying to hide it from us just so that they can make more money. But unfortunatley i an just a normal person and not a multi biljonare or someone who owns an entire country, i cant make diffrence and probobly not you ether so the best thing we can do is just hope that a one of those idiots that is just sitting on a effing throne can get some sense into their heads and fix this.

  2. the recycling industry is able to actually recycle 5%. City jobs , government regulations . Forced to separate trash that ends up in the same landfill

  3. Brilliant! There is no alternative but to take matters into our own hands. We must get up, organize and demand the vhanges necessary to our well-being.

I’d add that no real change is possible in our current economic system. The system must be changed.

  4. Among the Greenwashing examples i really like are Plant Based plastics that cant be recycled, plant based milks like almond milk that require excessive irrigation & contribute massively to water loss & drying rivers. And the amazing green future of lab grown meat that to be commercially viable as a general meat alternative will require an almost exponential production of Bioreactor components, pipes & gages etc. An almost exponential use of energy to run the pharmaceutical grade labs the cultured slurry has to be made in to avoid contamination, & an enormous use of anti-biotics to account for the cell culture not having an immune system to avoid infection of cultured cells. And all that’s before the production facilities to run the cultured slurry into "meat products". Also not to mention the huge amount of soy & corn needed to feed the cells the sugar they need on top the proteins & amino acids they need to grow.. All in all an impossible endeavor to ever be done at scale. Eg to produce even 0.0002% of current meat demand, would require one third of the entire global pharmaceutical bioreactor capacity. Just think of all the resources needed to produce all the bioreactors needed to produce at scale. And all the energy required to run the pharmaceutical grade 100% clean labs that are needed to avoid the cell culture dying before it’s ready to be processed.. Ohh so incredibly green..

  5. the so called "eco friendly" sustainability bullshit exists only for corporations to make more profit while finding a way to justify the lowering of the quality of their products.

  6. fight global warming is a hell of a claim from only a product, i call boycott if i see this! LIEs must be paid in boycott, so less money for liers. BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT! Nestlé, and all big compagnies, the bigger, the less im interested in giving them a dime.

  7. Idk.. I found cool bag brand were bags really 100 eco friendly, even dye on their labels are vegan and threads from 100 cotton and they are made from cool best linen. They called Sweetfern bags, its like stylish eco tote bag also which made very strong, not like 2 pieces sewed together.

  8. I don’t want to be all "not all Americans," but … the people who are against regulation are mostly republicans/conservatives. And that’s not nearly all Americans, thank goodness. 🙂

  9. Just like anything you buy, you must do your research and buy from an ethical & sustainable company. I recommend searching out companies that are B Corporations. I agree regulations need to be more strict but organizations like Temu ect. are flooding our society with overconsumption & products that are bad for the environment. If people stop buying , they will stop producing. It’s also up to the consumer to be more educated & proactive to unethical companies that are seeking huge profits.

  10. One company in the UK called Ecover use large thick plastic bottles for their "natural" laundy liquid. Those bottle then go into local recycling of which on about 5% of plastic is recycled.
I don’t understand why they can use pods instead and stored in recycled cardboard.

  11. Does any one have recommendations for:
    Shampoo & Conditioner
    Soap & Body wash
    Razors
    Phones
    brands
    Face washes
and stuff like that? Preferably affordable.
And what are some ways I can Reduce the waste I produce?

  12. Yes Nestle and most of these large corporations are evil. However people have to take responsibility for the fact they’re still in business. If we didn’t buy this crap in the first place it wouldn’t end up in the oceans. When will people wake up and start doing a the right thing instead of blaming the companies.

  13. ate the end it’s up to YOU. You’re the consumer, so just don’t buy useless sh*t, like bottled water unless you really need it, re-use stuff, and read he godamn labels!

  14. The Keystone, just like all others pipelines would have been much safer than moving the oil by rail (of course nothing is 100% fool proof) but of course that is never talked about (lobbying should be illegal as it is literal bribery). Blocking the Keystone pipeline was just another example of green washing along with political agenda.

  15. Wait isn’t this called greenwashing tho ?
Also I love the periodic table song out science teacher played it in front of the whole class and we had to sing it 😅😂😊🎉❤

  16. What I would’ve give for some accessible solutions instead of doom, gloom, and being a literal foot soldier protesting everything instead of living a joyful life.

  17. So the only way we can achieve sustainability is by going back to being cave men. Otherwise it seems impossible. It’s just a lie 😭

  18. I am an Environmental Officer, it’s my job to make sure my company complies to Environmental laws and regulations, we have something like 129 environmental compliences to pass.
I swear people in the company treat us like the plague, the only reason they comply is because we threaten them with fines. Most companies are profit driven and have a rotten attitude towards the environment, if we weren’t there my company would be massive polluters. We are a mining company and the only reason I have a job is because the government made it law in Australia that every big company should have an environmental team.

  19. Sustainability is a scam! I would know, I’ve worked in environmental sustainability for years. You either believe the lie or are part of creating it.

  20. 8:18 Just forget that cotton bags could be used multiple times, washed with ease, repaired with ease, and at the end of its life became a new product through cotton recycling.
8:24 That’s just plain BS – one big pollutant far away is still vastly preferable (just because it’s easier to install better filters or upgrade the whole process into more sustainable) to multiple small pollutants right under your nose.

  21. a phone made with "recycled materials" really means only up to 30% of the phones frame is made from recycled material, the rest is not and will most likely become e-waste anyway

  22. ‘Environmentally Friendly’ product is a product that can last for years, can be fixed when broken, and after you finish with it, can be sold or fully recycled.

  23. This is extraordinary. I read a book with similar content, and it was truly extraordinary. "Reclaiming Connection: The Journey of a Digital Detox" by Joshua Ember

  24. Your whole complaint is based on the idea that certain people know what is and isn’t "environmentally friendly". And they don’t. For every expert there is an equal and opposite expert.

  25. In addition to greenwashing I’ve also noticed a lot of companies putting irrelevant labels on food like a container of fruit will say “gluten free”. It’s very obvious the item is gluten free but they add the label because this is a trend that people have seen in the market where customers are being more cautious of what they eat and are leaning into health products like gluten free, lactose free, plant based, etc.

  26. 7:00 That’s a lie. The reason the 2015 VW Jetta was attacked and removed was bc it got 45 mpg! And there’s no way EVs can compete with high mileage vehicles on fuel cost or CO2 emissions. ASAPSCIENCE guy neglected to mention that info.
I did the smog checks. Me. There’s no “software” that can reduce emissions during smog checks. And, the government never proved the cheating. I read all the articles; they never explained how software can change engine performance to reduce emissions during smog checks. Not once. I know how engines work, and I know all the engine parts. Not a single article explained the cheating beyond the propaganda.
And they never told us “actual emissions”. If the emissions were bad, don’t you think they would show and tell us how high? Nope. Never did. That’s like accusing someone of murder without a murder victim.
Plus, a smog check on a diesel a basically a “snap test” where you rev the engine to see if smoke comes out the tailpipe. No smoke: PASS. If the diesel car was a gross polluter, then there would be a lot of smoke during normal operation. There was never any smoke.
Plus plus, you don’t have to be a mechanic to understand: This vehicle gets twice the mileage of a regular car. That means it used half the fuel. It would be exceedingly difficult and ridiculous to design a car that polluted more than a regular car; when it only used half the fuel.
The scam is how government kept mpg low to make more money on gas taxes. And now they keep mpg low to destroy the car market entirely. Their goal is mass transit bc mass transit destroys freedom.
EVs are a short term, and a worse solution. If we can make cars get just 32mpg, they would generate less CO2 than EVs. The real solution is to allow cars to get 100-500mpg. I have proof we can do that.

  27. Is there a short of the opening of this video? Cause I think we need it. Actually just several shorts from the video of different parts to share around.

  28. I’m making it my personal goal to INFORM PEOPLE about the bull💩 that Greenwashing is!
I’m not alone thanks to channels like this! Thank you for this video exposing this LIE. Joe Biden needs to wake up to his stupid ideas about carbon capture and sequestration. 🤦‍♂️
